We’ve all heard the timeless saying, “Failing to plan is planning to fail.” When it comes to your health, fitness, and overall well-being, this couldn’t be truer. Without a clear plan, it’s far too easy to let life’s demands derail your best intentions.
Consider this: a week holds 7 days, or 168 hours. If you prioritize getting 7 hours of sleep per night (a non-negotiable for optimal health), you’re left with 119 waking hours. Between work, family, school, managing a business, or a combination of these, it’s no wonder so many of us default to the excuse: “I don’t have enough time.”
But here’s the truth: you do. It’s all about how you use it.

As a busy entrepreneur, wellness advocate, and mother, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel to balance life’s responsibilities. That’s why I want to share a practice that has completely transformed the way I approach my week. It’s simple, empowering, and something you can implement starting today.

The Power of a Weekly Plan

I’m a firm believer in using a physical planner or calendar for this process. Digital tools are convenient, but they’re also full of distractions. There’s something about putting pen to paper that helps focus the mind and cut through the noise.

Here’s how I plan my week, and how you can, too:
1. Block Out Non-Negotiable Commitments
Take stock of your week and block out the times already spoken for—work meetings, school pick-ups, client appointments, etc. These are the anchors of your schedule.
2. Identify Your Top 3 Weekly Goals
Write down the three most important things you want to accomplish. These could be tied to personal growth, professional milestones, or wellness objectives. Make them meaningful and achievable.
3. Schedule Around Your Goals
Once your non-negotiables are in place, you’ll be left with blocks of free time. Use these to take small, actionable steps toward your goals. For instance, schedule time for meal prep, workouts, or mindfulness practices.

Why This Matters

When you don’t plan, it’s easy to get swept up in reactive mode—responding to emails, scrolling on social media, or tackling tasks that don’t align with your priorities. But when you take control of your time, you’re empowered to make choices that serve your long-term well-being.
For example, mapping out my week ensures that I:
• Dedicate time for grocery shopping and meal prep to stay on track with my nutrition.
• Block out space for workouts—even if it’s just 30 minutes.
• Schedule self-care rituals like time in the HydroMassage bed, an infrared sauna session, or BioCharger therapy at Haute Healing Oasis.

Daily Check-Ins for Accountability

Each evening, I review my plan for the next day. This simple check-in keeps me grounded and ensures I’m moving closer to my goals. It’s also a great way to reflect on what’s working and where I can adjust.
